Digital FAST Video Machine


.... due to poor performance and unsatisfactory handling of the software, this workstation has been disassembled .... (out of service since 1998).

This complete editing tool consists of the AV Master card which offers PCI bus mastering, and Audio/Video locking capabilities of in/and outgoing signals. It combines digital video with stereo CD quality audio, keeping it all synchronised inside the computer. In this particular setting, the AV Master operates on a Windows '95 platform.

Some of the extra features of MediaStudio Pro 5.0 include:
  • Full playback from the timeline-using FAST's Power Play;
  • Precision device control, colour calibration and extensive keyframe support;
  • MPEG 1 encoder (software) for CD-ROM Production;
  • Ulead CG (Character Generator) software;
  • Adobe Premiere;
  • Ulead Paint Package (good video-centric features);
To ensure extra stability of the digitizing and playback quality, the workstation has been equipped with an external Time Base Corrector.

(*) sp-1400 is slightly modified in that the Hardware consists of a G4-MAC
