Besides a computer you need a microphone. There are many models with a wide range in price and quality. Generally, more expensive models provide better sound quality. For voice recording a unidirectional, dynamic microphone or even a headset should be sufficient.

MP3 player/recorder: There are too many choices to be listed here. Many MP3 players (including iPod, iRiver, …) also have voice recording options.

Audio recording and editing software, e.g. Audacity (http://audacity.sourceforge.net/) is a free, easy to use open source software. Note: You have to download the LAME MP3 encoder (available on this website) so that you can export your audio files into .mp3 format.

RSS Enclosures can be created with a simple text editor (e.g. Notepad) or with a special software that generates your RSS feed (e.g. Feed For All or Extralabs Feed Editor )

FTP program (file transfer program): This is necessary to upload your files to the server.
